Auditory Processing Testing (Children & Adults)
Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), also known as Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), is a disorder in which the brain has difficulty understand sounds. Signs of APD include:
-
- Difficulty hearing in background noise
- Difficulty following instructions
- Difficulty in school
- Difficulty organizing information
- Difficulty focusing for long periods of time
To diagnose APD, we perform auditory processing testing for children and adults. Based on the results, our audiologists will provide recommendations and accommodations that can be made in the classroom, or in everyday life.
