Southwest Regional 55+ Games!

On September 10, 2015 London is hosting the Southwest Regional 55+ Games! These Games are for those aged 55 years or older, and consist of 21 events such as golf, slo-pitch, tennis, and euchre. For the 600 participants, it is a great opportunity to meet new people in an environment that promotes healthy active living. The events are taking place at multiple locations throughout London including the YMCA of Western Ontario facilities, City of London Community Centres, Greenhills Golf and Country Club, and Fanshawe Conservation Area.

After the events that day, the closing ceremonies take place at Fanshawe Conservation Area from 5:00 – 7:00pm. They will consist of a BBQ, awards, and entertainment by The Doug Varty Band. For those who have never seen Doug Varty perform, they are in for a special treat! Everyone is invited (even non-participants) to the closing ceremonies to help celebrate what will have been an amazing day. You can purchase tickets at Dunn Audiology for $20.00, which includes dinner and the show.

Free Hearing Rehab Classes

Dunn Audiology is hosting Free Hearing Rehab Classes in July. Classes are for people with hearing aids, but who are still having difficulty hearing. Those who sign are are welcome to bring along their spouse or a friend.

There will be 6 classes with about 3-6 other couples. Each class will be 90 minutes long, that includes a coffee and tea break.

Topics that will be covered during classes include:

1. About hearing and hearing loss
2. Hearing aid care and maintenance
3. Communication strategies in difficult listening environments

2015 Age Friendly London Conference
